If you wish to create a website, you need two things - your own domain name and a web hosting plan for it. The domain registration is the actual web address that you type in a browser to access a website, while the hosting space is where your site data is going to be. These are two tightly connected, but independent services, while many people believe that registering the domain is enough. Very similar to the disk space and the monthly traffic features that a given web hosting plan features, there are a certain number of registered domain names you can include as hosted which means that you can have the web content for them in some account even when the domains are in fact registered via a different firm. In technical terms, it does not matter whether a domain is registered and hosted using the same company or is registered with one company and directed to another - either way your sites will operate the very same way.
