Dot NAME Domain Names

Started in 2001, the .NAME generic Top-Level Domain is the single TLD planned for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are known by. Initially, just third-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to acquire john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already registered 3rd-level domains remained running.

Through our company, you can reserve your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to update the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registrar company and we will renew it after the transfer has been finished. There are no special stipulations on who can book a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the objective behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
